“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful part of us.”

**Covid-19 and Counselling**

The practice remains very much open to see new clients and of course existing clients but via online platforms such as Skype, Zoom, and by telephone, in the short term and interim. Whilst this change has been rapid following lockdown and social distancing, online work was established some years ago and continues to evolve with ever more sophisticated platforms. I am able to offer these facilities and work within the BACP ethical frameworks for Online Counselling.

Offering Counselling and Psychotherapy in London

I am a BUPA and BACP accredited Counsellor with over 15 years experience working in Mental Health.
My Approach is to work in close collaboration with you but offering insight and focus according to your needs and where you may be getting stuck. Study after study shows that it is the trust and rapport between you and your Counsellor which governs good outcome.
I am especially passionate about addressing isolation, loneliness and relating in a large city and with apparently never ending technology connection.
In taking the first step you are making an important decision to get help. In an ever distracted world the focus of a professional is getting even more crucial to help you resolve your issues.
If the above speaks to you then please contact me.

Issues I deal with..

Anxiety can be a fairly generalised term but covers that encroaching feeling of unease -and may start within the body before any apparent thoughts or feelings.
Low mood, feeling tired, unable to generate enthusiasm. May include lack of appetite, poor sleep and disinterest in relating.
This is a growing area in the last decade . In a big city and with a lot of our current focus on technology, I believe we are not getting our 'contact' needs met. Therapy can help, with its emphasis on deep meaningful contact.

Other problems I can help with..

  • Experiencing panic
  • Stress
  • OCD
  • Work or redundancy issues
  • Grief or loss
  • Coping with change

So you may have tried managing by yourself or talking to friend but…

Whilst Self Help is where most people start, it doesn’t address what subtley stops us from making change in our lives. This is where therapy can help, life as we currently live it may be holding us back, but we cannot see where the blocks are. We are limited to what we can achieve on our own, Counselling and Psychotherapy places therapeutic relationship at the centre of change.
